maker; compound linen proving microscope; early 20th century) Microscope 326 is a compound linen proving microscope. The instrument has a draw tube used to vary the magnification. The foot of the instrument contains multiple openings calibrated in units from various regions or countries. The maker is unknown but should be of French origin and was for example sold by E. Vion in the 1920s (Figure 1).
