Microscope 221 (Britex; minor microscope; mid-20^th century)

Microscope 221 is labelled with ‘BRITEX MINOR 5822’ and ‘Made in England’, and should be dated to the mid-20^th century. These student microscopes were made from about the 1920's through the 1960's. The instrument came with its original wooden box. This microscope was featured in a 1956 catalogue of Gallenkamp (Figure 1).
