Microscope 136 (A. Henderson; c. 1865)

Angus Henderson was an optician in Edinburgh. He worked at the address 23 South Hanover Street from 1861 to 1868. Microscopes signed by this firm are very rare. Microscope 136 is signed ‘A Henderson, Edinburgh’, and came with an original wooden box contained a label also signed with Angus Henderson, Practical Optician, 23 South Hanover Street, Edinburgh. The instrument should be dated to c. 1865.
