Images of lenses and microscopes
In this page we can find images of microscopes
that were engraved in antique books, catalogues and other sources of many
makers and retailers. Images are roughly organised by appearance or type of
microscope, sometimes by period, and this organisation may be useful to
identify microscopes that are not engraved with the name of their maker or
retailer.
By clicking on the image group summaries on the
left menu, you will be taken to the respective microscope groupings and,
from there, you will find listings of images associated with their sources.
